Android 3.2 Honeycomb coming soon to a tablet near you

Android Mascot
Just a month after Google released Android 3.1 Honeycomb, they are now working on Android 3.2 Honeycomb.  This update to the tablet-only operating system will be rolling out to most Android Honeycomb tablets within a few weeks.  The Huawei MediaPad is the lucky one to already have 3.2.  Of course, with all Android devices, the device manufacturer is responsible for releasing the update.  Therefore, check with your tablet’s manufacturer to see if and when they will be releasing the 3.2 update.
So what’s new in 3.2?  First of all, Google has realized that fragmentation is a big problem among Android devices.  This fragmentation is caused by the various screen sizes across devices that run Android.  Google claims to have added support for a wide range of display sizes.  Furthermore, they have added support for Qualcomm processors, better hardware acceleration, and updates for many built-in apps and widgets.  As always, Google has thrown in some bug fixes, as well.
After Android 3.2 Honeycomb is released, thou shall not expect another Honeycomb release.  After 3.2, we are expecting future versions to be nicknamed “Ice Cream Sandwich”.  Yum!
